Tree Pruning
To maintain a tree in a safe condition, remove dead
branches, to promote growth, to regulate size and shape or to
improve the quality of flowers, fruit or timber. Improper pruning
can lead to trees becoming unsightly, diseased and/or potentially
dangerous.
Crown Reduction & Crown Lifting
Reduce the height and/or spread of the crown of a tree allowing
more light to pass through,
reduces wind resistance or to lessen weight of heavy branches.
Improve access beneath, common practice is 8ft for pedestrians and
17 ft for vehicles whilst maintaining the tree's natural shape as
far as possible.
Crown Clean
Removal of dead, diseased, broken, crowded, weakly attached and
low-vigour branches as well as climbing plants (e.g. ivy).
Balancing and adjustment of tree shape to improve form and shape.
Diseases
Identification of tree diseases such as Pathogens that can cause
trees to fail in adverse weather. Specialised equipment can
detect delay.
Fungi/fruiting bodies any spore bearing structure on a stalk (like a
toadstool) or attached directly to the tree (a 'bracket' fungus).
Advice on which fungi are harmful (cause disease -
pathogenic), harmless (living on material already dead
- saprophytic) or beneficial (
symbiotic) to the tree.
It is possible to support weak trees by the installation of flexible cables/brace offering extra support where internal
weaknesses exist.
Tree feeding & Watering
Tree feeding using the Terrevent System as used by Kew
Gardens. We can offer a watering service during the growing
season. This service is excluded from domestic hosepipe
bans.
Root Removal
Removal of roots without
excavation.
Recycling of tree waste
No Waste! Waste is recycled into wood chip for mulching,
larger pieces of wood are cut up on site. Both can be left for
customer use or removed if not required.
